Quick Lookup is a straightforward way to find a single record or small group of records using their basic contact information, such as name, address, and email.

When you enter information and click the Search button, results, if there are any, will appear below, along with their basic contact information. Clicking on the contact's name will load their contact record.

'Claiming' Contacts that are not in your Committee

One important function of Quick Look Up is that it gives you the ability to find existing contacts in the National database that haven't showed up in your local or program-specific committee yet, because we don't have enough information to trigger that inclusion.

By default, searching for contacts in EveryAction is limited to the contacts in the committee where you perform it. But you can search the entire database by clicking the radio button next to where it says "All contacts":

Once you've found the correct record, go to the "Actions" section and click the "Add to my activists" button.

Finally, if your goal here is for the contact to receive your emails, you'll want to find the "Email" section, open it, and toggle the appropriate email address subscription status to "Subscribed".
